Candle Care
Before Each Burn
-
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6 mm) before lighting.
-
Remove any wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the wax surface.
-
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, fans, curtains, pets, and children.
First Burn
Allow your candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the container. This usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size. Doing so helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
During Use
-
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Keep the wax pool free of debris.
-
Do notcan y move a burning candle or while the wax is still hot.
-
Always keep the candle within sight while lit.
When to Stop Burning
Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of wax remains at the bottom of the container. Burning beyond this point may cause the container to overheat or crack.
Safety Reminders
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
-
Avoid burning candles in drafty areas.
-
Extinguish the flame carefully—do not use water.
-
Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting or handling.
